Content management

Content management enables companies to quickly and efficiently build, deploy, and maintain content-rich Web sites. Content Management can reduce the need for costly site maintenance, empowering business users to manage their own content. Content management systems span a wide variety of needs, from small systems with almost no workflow for small user-groups and such, to large database-based systems for running large, very active web sites such as those for a newspaper. A content management is used to collect, manage, and publish content, storing the content either as components or whole documents, while maintaining the links between components. Content management may also provide for content revision control
